Rahul Gandhi & Priyanka Vadra 'irrelevant' in Assam: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are 'irrelevant' in Assam.

This bold claim was made be Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that both Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have surpassed their "expiry dates".

CM Sarms said, "In Assam, Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have no relevance. They have exceeded their expiration date."

The Assam chief minister further dismissed the allegations levelled by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra that the BJP-led state government is running a "mafia raj".

Refuting the accusation, the Assam chief minister remarked, "Priyanka Gandhi hasn't experienced the Congress-led era. What mafia exists here now? There are no explosions, shootings, or insurgent activities like ULFA or NDFB."
