GUWAHATI: Voter turnout of 27.34 percent was recorded till 11 am of Tuesday (May 07) across the four constituencies in Assam that went to polls in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections.

It may be mentioned here that voting process in as many as four constituencies of Assam began at 7 in the morning of Tuesday (May 07).

Four Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam that went to polls in the third phase of elections on Tuesday (May 07) are: Kokrajhar (ST), Dhubri, Barpeta and Guwahati.

The third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Assam is set to determine the fate of 47 candidates vying for victory in four crucial constituencies.

Notably, six women are contesting in the final phase of polling in Assam.

All eyes are on the prestigious Guwahati seat, where both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have fielded female candidates – Bijuli Kalita Medhi and Mira Borthakur Goswami, respectively.
