Asia Cup IndvsPak: Let's shake hands come what may, they deserve some empathy
It's true what the Pakistani Army in tandem with terrorists unleashed on innocent souls in Pahalgam is unpardonable.
Let's face it, the consistent fomenting of terrorist attack on the Indian soil at the behest of our rogue neigubour is a cardinal sin.
But why blame the Men in Green?
True they are as patriots as we are but to shun handshaking after a sporting encounter does not personify a decent response.
We maul them on the battlefield, we decimate them on the field of sports and we always have the last laugh.
So let's pity these Pakistanis who hanker for some reprieve amid the lethal and nefarious designs their powers-that-be indulge in.
In some minutes India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in their Asia Cup Super 4 stage and if the law of average doesn't show its true colours, it is Suryakumar Yadav's boys who are going to come up trumps.
Last time they didn't shake hands much to the chagrin of the Pakistanis who created a hue and cry over it.
But this time around let us be sympathetic towards them.
Let us show them that we Indians even embrace enemies come what may because shunning benevolence is not our forte.
We either way make them eat a humble pie so let us be a bit generous SKY and team.
Talking about the match the Pakistanis are going to go hammer and tongs yet the Indians are brimming with confidence and optimism.
Buoyed by a stellar show in the tourney they are miles ahead of their arch rivals.
But cricket is a game of great uncertainties hence anything can happen anytime.
Irrespective of the outcome chalo give our opponents something to be satisfied by - a shaking of hands may be.
What say?
Patriotic Indians might fume but there is a logic behind this suggestion - lest should we be slammed for being arrogant because we are everything but arrogant!
