Imphal: Amid ongoing speculations about his potential resignation, Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has dismissed these rumors, stressing on the need for stability and leadership during the state's current troubled period.

Interacting with the media, CM Biren Singh stated, "In such a crucial time when Manipur is passing through a troubled time... We have full confidence and we have to guide the people on the right path. If we deviate from the path, who will lead them? Manipur will be in more chaos."

The Manipur CM's comments come in response to widespread rumors and media reports suggesting his imminent resignation.

He urged the media to exercise caution and verify information before publication to prevent unnecessary panic among the populace.

"So, I appeal to all media persons, don't public any unconfirmed news and information. When someone says that the CM is going to step down, people start panicking. So, I think we should not spread such misinformation," the Manipur CM asserted.
