Northeast: IMD issues yellow alert, predicts heavy rainfall on Oct 7

Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday (October 7) issued a yellow alert for the Northeast region predicting heavy rainfall.

Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura may likely receive heavy rainfall on Monday.

According to the IMD, fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur over the Northeastern region during the week.

The IMD also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh during the next six days, Assam and Meghalaya during the next five days, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Monday (October 7).
