Rajasthan resident held in Tripura with cannabis worth Rs 1 lakh
Agartala: A joint operation by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) recovered 25 kg of ganja from Agartala railway station and arrested one person hailing from Rajasthan.
Officer-In Charge of GRP Agartala, Tapas Das said that the market value of the recovered ganja will be approximately Rs. 1 lakh.
A youth from outside the state has also been arrested.
“According to the details of the incident, a suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon by the GRP and RPF police during a routine search at Agartala railway station. During the search, 25 kg of ganja was recovered from him. A youth from outside the state has also been arrested. The market value would be around Rs 1 lakh”, said the OC.
He said that the arrested individual is Subhash Jhant, a resident of Rajasthan. He was planning to transport the ganja from Agartala to Rajasthan.
