Aizawl: In a major successful operation against anti-narcotics activities, Assam Rifles recovered narcotics and apprehended three persons from the general area of Siahatla (Bualpui Road) in south Mizoram’s Siaha district on Thursday.

On receipt of specific input regarding the movement of illegal narcotics items from the general area of Siahatla, an operation was launched by Assam Rifles on Thursday and recovered 277 grams of heroin worth over Rs. 1.93 crore.

The seized heroin was concealed in 22 soap cases.

Three persons, including a Myanmar national, have been apprehended for possessing the contraband.
