The Union Minister appreciated the role of NGOs and community-based organisations in maintaining social harmony and contributing to development efforts in the state.

Earlier on Monday, Meghwal also reviewed ongoing development projects and welfare schemes in Mamit, the lone aspirational district of Mizoram, during a separate meeting with officials.

He called for better coordination among departments to speed up development and ensure effective delivery of welfare benefits, especially in remote areas. He also highlighted the need to enhance public awareness to improve participation in government programmes.
