Manipur CM hails BJP’s manifesto, calls it ‘forward-looking’
Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inclusion of senior citizens and the transgender community in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana as it has been mentioned in the BJP Manifesto 2024 released on Sunday in the national capital.
N Biren Singh who is also BJP Manipur Pradesh leader in his X post shares, “Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi’s decision to include senior citizens and the transgender community in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a commendable step towards ensuring healthcare equity for all segments of society. By extending the benefits of this scheme to these marginalized groups, the government is reaffirming its commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare coverage to every citizen, regardless of age, gender, or social status.”
In another X post, Manipur CM states, “India’s development journey under PM @narendramodi’s leadership is comprehensive and forward-looking. From social to physical and digital infrastructure, the focus is on modernization and future readiness. With investments in education, healthcare, transportation, and cutting-edge technology like 5G and 6G, we're gearing up for Industry 4.0 and beyond.”
“PM Modi sees urbanization as a chance for growth. With the creation of satellite towns, we're paving the way for national development and prosperity,” the Manipur CM added.
The BJP released its manifesto on Sunday at its headquarters in New Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The manifesto promises to expand the network of Garima Grahas to cater to the needs of transgender individuals. It also states, “We will issue identity cards to ensure their recognition nationwide. Furthermore, all eligible transgender individuals will be covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.”
