The ambush party of the paramilitary force acted swiftly and nabbed the three while they were trying to escape.

During questioning, it was revealed that two of them belonged to the proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) while the third was a United National Liberation Front-Koireng (UNLF-K) cadre.

The trio was later handed over to the Manipur Police for further legal proceedings.
