Maitri Setu, Agartala-Akhaura Railway Link to be open soon: Tripura CM
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced on Friday that the Maitri Setu and the Agartala-Akhaura Railway Link will soon be operational.
He highlighted the efforts of the current government to maintain peace and tranquillity in the state, which is attracting numerous investors.
“With the election concluded and a new government set to form, we continue under the leadership of PM Modi, who has always prioritized the Act East Policy and introduced the HIRA Model. Consequently, the Maitri Setu will soon be operational. The trial runs for the Agartala-Akhaura railway link have already been completed, and it will commence operations shortly. Investor interest is high, and just yesterday, I conducted a meeting with several investors. The future of Tripura looks promising. Once the rail connectivity is established, reaching Kolkata will be significantly quicker,” he added.
