Lightning kills a 31-year-old man in Mizoram

Aizawl: In a tragic incident, a 31-year-old man was killed when lightning struck him at Sakeilui-II village in southernmost Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district on Sunday, sources said.

The victim has been identified as Mithun Chakma.

The incident occurred when Chakma was dining at his neighbour’s house, the sources said.

The lightning struck the house and hit Chakma, who died on the spot, the sources said.

The deceased is survived by his wife and three children.
