Guwahati: The motorcycle rider display team of the Indian Army’s Signals Corps, popularly known as the ‘Dare Devils,’ recently displayed spectacular stunts for the troops of the Gajraj Corps at the Gyaptong Regional Stadium in Rupa town of Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district.

The event, graced by senior officers from the Indian Army, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the civil administration, saw a large turnout of the local populace, who were enthralled by the death-defying motorcycle stunts of the Dare Devils, Guwahati-based defence Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lt Col Mahendra Rawat said on Monday, May 27.

The Dare Devils are renowned for their exceptional display of self-determination, mental alertness, unmatched courage, physical stamina and precision in motorcycle handling.

Their stunts, timed to the split-second, kept the audience on the edge of their seats and their hearts racing. The team also showcased their famous human formations on motorcycles, which added to the spectacle, he said.

Internationally recognised for their prowess, the Dare Devils have set and broken 31 world records, which are documented in the Guinness Book of Records, Limca Book of Records, Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records, he added.

Lt Col Rawat further said that the event marked the Dare Devils’s third performance in Arunachal Pradesh, with one of them being held at the same venue in 2017.

The adrenaline-filled performance received high praise from the local populace of Rupa and Tenga Valley, inspiring many to consider joining the Indian Army to experience life on the edge.
