Indian Army celebrates Teachers’ Day in Assam, Arunachal to inspire younger generation
Guwahati: In recognition of the pivotal role the teachers play in shaping the future of youth by imparting knowledge and values, the Indian Army on Thursday (September 5, 2024) organised interactive events in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The events, held in Assam’s Kakopathar and Tinsukia, and South Arunachal Pradesh’s Bordumsa and Changlang, aimed at inspiring the younger generation to pursue their aspirations while honouring the invaluable contributions of the educators.
Attended by 52 teachers and 558 students, the events featured a range of activities, including cultural performances, quiz programmes, career counselling sessions and discussions, highlighting the significance of the day.
Lectures during the events emphasised the essential role the teachers play in nation-building by offering guidance, education and support to help students overcome challenges and build a strong foundation for their future.
Tributes were also paid to the educators who have left a lasting impact on the lives of their students, inspiring generations through their dedication and contribution.
Additionally, the students were provided with insights into various career opportunities, helping them explore avenues for a brighter future.
The event highlighted the Indian Army’s continued commitment to honouring important contributors of the society.
