Governors of Nagaland and Meghalaya meet Amit Shah
New Delhi: The governors of the Northeast states of Nagaland and Meghalaya held separate meetings with union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday (July 01).
These discussions took place at Amit Shah’s office in Parliament.
Discussions were held in regards to several issues plaguing the two Northeast states of Nagaland and Meghalaya during the meeting.
In a statement from Amit Shah’s office, it was confirmed, “The governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan met union home minister Amit Shah.”
In addition to the meeting with the Nagaland governor, Meghalaya governor CH Vijayashankar also called on the home minister.
The nature of these discussions has not been disclosed, but they are expected to involve state matters and coordination with the central government.
