Manipur Police arrest Md. Zahid Khan (34) of Haoreibi Mayai Leikai, Thoubal District from Martyrs Park Mao for illicit trafficking of suspected Brown Sugar.

Imphal: One suspected drug trafficker was arrested along with illicit Brown Sugar while an alleged drug user was found dead at separate locations in Manipur, the police report said on Friday.
Manipur Police on Thursday arrested one Md. Zahid Khan (34) of Haoreibi Mayai Leikai, Thoubal district from Martyrs Park Mao, Manipur-Nagaland border for illicit trafficking of suspected Brown Sugar.
From his possession, a total of 111.80 gm contained in 10 soap caps were seized by the authority.
A case has been registered at Mao Police Station for further investigation, the report said.
Meanwhile, a goldsmith identified as Ngangom Nanao (38) who was stated to be a drug user was found dead inside a rented room at Thoubal on Thursday.
A syringe was found near the body. After registering a UD case, Thoubal police deposited the corpse at the JNIMS mortuary.
