Chief Minister N. Biren Singh released the book, Writings and Speeches of Radhabinod Koijam, An Anthology compiled and edited by L Memo Singh at the Auditorium of the JN Manipur Dance Academy.

Former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam speaking on the occasion said that the book is a collection of speeches, and writings published in national and local newspapers and other publications.

Speaking as the Chief Guest of the event, the Singh said that a true politician should be visionary and that politicians today have a lot to learn from former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam.

N. Biren Singh said that he respects and appreciates the former Chief Minister as a politician and leader.

Radhabinod Koijam (born 19 July 1948) is a politician from Manipur.

In 1995, Koijam was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly as an Indian National Congress candidate.

Later, he joined the Samata Party (now led by Uday Mandal). Koijam was sworn in as Chief Minister of Manipur on 15 February 2001.

The government was, however, short-lived. The coalition he was leading fell in May the same year.

In September 2015, Koijam changed his loyalties to the Bharatiya Janata Party along with Okram Joy Singh and Yumnam Joykumar Singh looking forward to the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly election.

He is a current member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
