Assam: NFR extends periodicity of three special trains
Maligaon: To clear the extra rush of passengers, N. F. Railway has decided to continue the services of three pairs of special trains from the first week of July 2024.
Among these extended services, train no 05636/05635 (Guwahati–Shri Ganganagar–Guwahati) will run for 13 trips each in both directions and train no. 05932/ 05931 (Dibrugarh-Kolkata–Dibrugarh) & train no. 05639/05640 (Silchar–Kolkata-Silchar) together will run for 26 trips each in both directions.
These trains will run with the existing days of service, timings and stoppages.
Moreover, N. F. Railway has decided to increase the frequency of two pairs of express trains which include train no. 22504/22503 (Dibrugarh–Kanniyakumari-Dibrugarh) Vivek Express from present five days to daily basis and train no. 15612/15611 (Silchar-Rangiya–Silchar) Express from present three days a week to six days a week.
Accordingly, Train no. 05636 (Guwahati-Shri Ganganagar) Special has been extended to run from July 03 to September 25, 2024, every Wednesday.
In the return direction, train no. 05635 (Shri Ganganagar-Guwahati) Special has been extended to run from July 07 to September 29, 2024, every Sunday.
Train no. 05932 (Dibrugarh-Kolkata) Special has been extended to run from July 06 till December 28, 2024, every Saturday.
In the return direction, train no. 05931 (Kolkata-Dibrugarh) Special has been extended to run from July 07 to December 29, 2024, every Sunday.
Train no. 05639 (Silchar–Kolkata) Special has been extended to run from July 04 till December 26, 2024 on every Thursday.
In the return direction, train no. 05640 (Kolkata-Silchar) Special has been extended to run from July 05 to December 27, 2024, every Friday.
Moreover, the frequency of train no. 22504/22503 (Dibrugarh–Kanniyakumari-Dibrugarh) Vivek Express which was previously used to run only five days a week, will now run on a daily basis with effect from 08th and 12th July 2024 from their respective directions.
The frequency of train no. 15612/15611 (Silchar-Rangiya–Silchar) Express which used to run for three days a week, will now run six days a week in both directions with effect from 08th and 09th July 2024 respectively.
The trains will run with a revised composition consisting of 22 coaches for the convenience of passengers on that route.
The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at the IRCTC website, NTES and are also being notified in the social media handles of N.F. Railway.
Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
