Pijush Hazarika wins Jagiroad seat with over 1.55 lakh votes, defeating rival Bubul Das by a margin of 93,584 votes.

Guwahati: The Assam Assembly Elections 2026 witnessed intense contests across the state, with BJP leader Pijush Hazarika emerging as a dominant winner from the Jagiroad constituency.

According to the final results after all 24 rounds of counting, Hazarika polled 1,55,129 votes, defeating his nearest rival Bubul Das by a massive margin of 93,584 votes.

Das garnered 61,545 votes but trailed significantly throughout the counting process.
