Veteran BJP leader LK Advani admitted to AIIMS Delhi, currently stable
Delhi: Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani was hospitalized at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Wednesday night.
It was reported the 96-year-old leader is receiving care from the geriatric department's doctors.
He is currently stable and under close monitoring.

This hospitalization follows three months after Advani received the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.

President Droupadi Murmu presented the Bharat Ratna to Advani at his Delhi residence, in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Advani’s family.
Advani's illustrious political career includes serving as India's deputy prime minister from June 2002 to May 2004 and as the Union Home Minister from October 1999 to May 2004.
