LIVE UPDATE: ECI announces poll schedule for Lok Sabha elections 2024

NEW DELHI: The election commission of India (ECI) announced the timetable for the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday (March 16).

During a media briefing, the poll panel disclosed the schedule for both the Lok Sabha polls and certain state assembly elections.

Of particular note is that the assembly elections in the Northeast states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim will be conducted concurrently with the Lok Sabha polls.

It's worth mentioning that the terms of the assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha are set to expire on various dates in June.
