Nagaland: Three NSCN-K cadres arrested for assaulting, robbing student

Guwahati: Three cadres of the NSCN-K (Khango) were arrested by the police in Dimapur, Nagaland for allegedly assaulting a student and snatching his phone and money.

According to reports, the incident took place in the Thakur Bari area of Dimapur, Nagaland on October 10.

According to reports, the victim was allegedly robbed at around 3:50-4 am on October 10 when he was on his way to participate at a sporting event.

The student was stopped by the trio near the Thakur Bari area.

They allegedly assaulted him and then stole his mobile phone and all the money he had then.

The accused managed to flee with the items shortly after robbing and before any help could arrive.

The student immediately reached the police station and lodged a complaint.

Based on the details provided, the police apprehended the three suspects.

They were identified as Phushito Yeptho (52 years), Akheto Shohe (48 years) and Vikiho Aye (37 years).

They were all identified as members of the NSCN-K (Khango) faction.

The suspects were nabbed following an intensive operation, the police said.
