Nagaland: Recruitment for 144 posts of constables in 3 districts
Dimapur: Open recruitment for 144 posts of constables in Nagaland police allotted for Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland districts will be carried out from January 7 to January 13.
Briefing the media at Chumoukedima police complex on Tuesday, Dimapur commissioner of police Aotula T Imchen said the entire exercise would be conducted in a transparent, fair and merit-based manner.
Imchen said a total of 3,377 applications were received for the posts.
She said a six-member screening committee had been constituted to oversee the process and ensure fairness at every stage.
Imchen further said the recruitment process commenced with document verification from January 5 to January 6, which will be followed by physical standard tests, medical fitness examinations and physical efficiency tests from January 7 to January 13.
She clarified that each stage is a disqualifying stage.
Emphasising transparency in the exercise, she said all components of the recruitment process are being conducted under CCTV surveillance, with standardised score sheets being used.
Imchen added that candidates are required to carry their admit cards and valid identity cards on the day of their tests, and warned that any form of malpractice would lead to immediate disqualification.
She further stated that the department is committed to selecting disciplined and capable candidates to serve the people of Nagaland, adding the results would be published publicly.
Stating that a grievance redressal mechanism has been put in place, Imchen said representatives from civil society organisations will also be present during the recruitment process to ensure transparency
She further said the written examination will be conducted after the completion of the physical and medical tests.
