Nagaland Governor urges citizens to support Armed Forces Flag Day fund

Dimapur: Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Saturday appealed to citizens to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.

The fund supports serving defence personnel, battle casualties, war widows, and helps in the resettlement of ex-servicemen and their dependents.

In his Armed Forces Flag Day greetings, observed on December 7 to honour martyrs and men and women in uniform, Bhalla said, “It is our duty not only to admire the martyrs and personnel injured in the line of duty but also to support their families, who share in their sacrifices.”

He expressed hope that the spirit of patriotism and gratitude will inspire everyone as we remember and honour our armed forces.
