Nagaland: DoNER secretary reviews PM-DeVINE, NEC projects
Dimapur: Angshuman Dey, joint secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), reviewed the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North East (PM-DeVINE) projects and schemes of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Nagaland.
An official statement on Monday said the meeting reviewed the utilisation status of released funds, submission of demands, and progress reports under PM-DeVINE and NEC schemes.
All departments concerned attended and presented updated reports on the implementation of their respective projects.
Dey also inspected projects constructed under the two schemes in the state.
He inspected the construction works of the 220/132kV (2×100 MVA) and 132/33kV (2×50 MVA) Tsitronge-Dimapur substation being executed under the PM-DeVINE scheme.
He also visited the upgradation works of the radiation oncology department at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research, Dimapur, and reviewed the progress of the project.
On Sunday, Dey carried out inspections of projects being implemented under PM-DeVINE and NEC schemes in Dimapur district.
During the inspection, he visited Thiluxu village and reviewed an NEC-funded project on value addition in coffee, which includes procurement of coffee roasting machines and capacity-building through entrepreneurship training.
The project aims to improve market access, strengthen local enterprises, and enhance income generation for coffee growers and entrepreneurs.
The central official also inspected the construction of a Common Facility Centre (CFC) Emporium for Handloom and Handicraft at Agri Expo Nagaland, implemented by the Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board, and visited the state-of-the-art cane and bamboo technology facility at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre under the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA).
He was accompanied by SD Meena, director, MDoNER, Temsunaro Aier, development commissioner, Nagaland, Hekato N, additional director, department of land resources, Kasho Chishi, chief engineer (transmission & generation, Asangla Imti, secretary, power department, Kuku Mero, state mission director, Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, Dr Tolto Metha, team member, NBDA and other departmental officials.
