Kohima: Leaders and workers of the Nagaland Congress staged a demonstration on Friday (June 21), expressing outrage over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 examination.

Gathering outside the Congress Bhawan in Kohima, party members held placards and banners demanding accountability from the Centre regarding purported lapses in the conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate), commonly known as NEET-UG.

The Nagaland Congress leaders and workers called for stringent action against the National Testing Agency (NTA) and those responsible for the alleged irregularities.

Meshenlo Kath, co-chairman of the Public Grievance Department of Nagaland Congress, questioned the credibility of the Modi government, stating, “How long will the Modi government at the Centre continue to deceive the people of our country?”

The NEET-UG exam, which took place on May 05, saw participation from approximately 24 lakh candidates nationwide, with results announced on June 04.

However, concerns have arisen following accusations of question paper leaks in states like Bihar, along with other reported irregularities.

These allegations have triggered protests in various cities across the country, alongside the filing of petitions in several high courts and the Supreme Court seeking redressal.
