Dimapur: Nagaland chief electoral officer (CEO) on Monday informed that the draft photo roll for 28 Koridang (ST) Assembly constituency in Nagaland's Mokokchung district, where bye-election, is due has been published.

In a notification, the CEO said the period for filing claims and objections has been fixed from January 3 to January 24, while disposal of claims and objections will be on February 2.

Final publication of the electoral roll will be on February 14.

The total number of electors in the constituency as per the draft roll is 21,586, out of which 10,956 are males and 10,630 females.

The seat fell vacant after the death of sitting MLA Imkong L Imchen last year.

The notification said electors/applicants can file claims and objections in Forms 6/7/8 as the case may be with the concerned booth level officer (BLO) or with the assistant electoral registration officer and electoral registration officer.

It said forms are available for download in ECI and CEO's website. Applications can also be filed/submitted online through www.voters.eci.gov.in (links are provided in the ECI and CEO's website).

There are a total of 30 notified polling stations in the constituency.

The notification also said the electoral registration officer of the constituency will share the list of claims and objections with the recognised political parties on a weekly basis.
