KOHIMA: The Congress party units in Eastern Nagaland region have pledged their support for the Chenmoho Resolution, initiated by the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO).

This Chenmoho Resolution strongly advocates for Eastern Nagaland abstention from participating in both central and state elections until the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue is effectively addressed by the ministry of home affairs (MHA).

Expressing dissatisfaction, the Congress units in Eastern Nagaland issued a release condemning the “repeated false assurances” from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and criticizing the “delaying tactics” employed by National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders.

The party asserted that these tactics were “strategically designed to attract voters while failing to fulfil the promises made”.

In a resolute move echoing the sentiments of the ENPO and tribal leaders, the Congress units in Eastern Nagaland have decided to refrain from participating in both central and state elections, firmly aligning itself with the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue.

Notably, the ENPO has called for a joint coordination meeting, slated to convene on April 6 at 10 am at KU Hall in Mon town of Nagaland.
