Guwahati: An Assam Rifles team seized a significant stash of arms and communication equipment during "Operation Cloudburst" in the Mon district of Nagaland.

The recovered weapons include eleven 82 mm mortars, four RCL tubes, ten pistols of various makes and a concerning number of communication devices - 199 Radio Sets along with Satellite Phones.

During the operation, the team apprehended one person suspected to be linked with the cache.

He has been handed over to the police for further investigation.

Sources said that apart from these, they also seized a Bolero and a Kenbo motorcycle.

It may be mentioned that Kenbo is a Chinese automobile brand and is banned in India.

Further investigations are being carried out to trace the people or groups behind the cache.
