Imphal: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) has raised concerns regarding establishing designated camps by the United National Liberation Front (UNLF-Pambei group) within "Naga territory" in Manipur.

In a press release issued today, the NSCN demanded the immediate relocation of these camps, claiming their establishment occurred unilaterally by the UNLF-P without consulting the Naga public.

This development comes despite both the NSCN and UNLF currently engaged in peace talks with the Indian government aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.

The NSCN condemned the UNLF-P's presence in Naga territory as a reckless and condemnable act. The statement emphasized the NSCN's responsibility to protect Naga rights and well-being while preserving the territorial integrity of Nagalim.

The NSCN further expressed apprehension about the Indian government's actions potentially fueling inter-communal tensions. The statement urged all parties to take immediate steps to prevent undesirable consequences.

The NSCN reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the Naga people from external threats and ensuring a stable and secure environment for the Naga community.
