Applications are invited for recruitment of various research based positions or jobs in NIT Nagaland.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or jobs of Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate (one post) in a Research Project (funded by DST-SERB) entitled "Desert beetle inspired hierarchical surfaces for
water harvesting (Project no. CRG/2023/007359)" at Department of Science and Humanities (Physics). National Institute of Technology Nagaland, an Institute of National importance is a higher education technical Institute located at Chumukedima (Dimapur), Nagaland. It is also one among the ten newly approved NITs by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan and it started functioning from the academic year 2010. Initially, this Institute started its journey under the mentorship of National Institute of Technology Silchar in Assam. It functioned in the campus of NIT Silchar for two years. Land for permanent campus was identified for the Institute during January 2012 and it is located at a hilly terrain area at Chumukedima near Dimapur, Nagaland.

Essential Educational Qualification:
MSc in Physics.
Candidate must have obtained at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA out of 10.
Desirable:
Applicant should have preliminary knowledge/experience in Thin Films deposition and characterization.
Consolidated Salary:
For JRF: Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA (NET/GATE)
For PA : Rs. 25,000/- per month plus HRA (Non NET/GATE)

Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview will be held on 24th April 2024 from 10:30 AM onwards in Administrative Block, National Institute of Technology, Nagaland, Chumukedima, Dimapur-797103, Nagaland.
Registration time is from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM
