GUWAHATI: Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, on Monday (February 05), met his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Both the chief ministers met at the Assam CM’s office in Guwahati.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that he had a ‘productive’ meeting with his Nagaland counterpart Neiphiu Rio.

“Delighted to engage in a productive discussion with the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio Ji, during his visit to my office,” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on his X handle.

The Assam CM added: “Our conversation centred around synergizing efforts to expedite development in the Northeast.”
