KOHIMA: The Nagaland cabinet, recently, approved recognition of eight new villages in the state.

Among the eight newly recognised villages, two are under Wokha district and one each from the districts of Longleng, Shamator, Noklak, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Mon.

The newly recognised villages in Nagaland are:

Chingtok Village, Longleng District

Kesangwong Village, Shamator District

Hanyuk Village, Noklak District

Chen Village, Chümoukedima District

Hokuto Village, Niuland District

Tongtiyan Village, Wokha District

Mnyan Village, Wokha District

Chaoha Chingha Village, Mon District
