Verification and preparation work are still in progress, and army officials are closely monitoring the process to ensure a smooth transition to the next stage.

Lt. Col. Goldi Bora, Officer-in-Charge of the Territorial Army Aizawl Company, said the recruitment drive is running efficiently. Only candidates who clear the physical and medical tests will be allowed to sit for the written exam.

The exact number of candidates who will qualify is still being finalised. He said, "The exact number of candidates eligible for the written test cannot yet be disclosed as the verification process is still underway."

Officials remain positive about the outcome. He added, "I hope the qualified candidates will be able to proceed smoothly."

Lt. Col. Bora noted that the overall recruitment progress is satisfactory and that the authorities are happy with the public response.

Mizo youths are expressing particularly high interest in the Territorial Army. He said, "Many Mizo youths are eager to join the Territorial Army."

He also thanked the public for their support, saying, "We are grateful for the warm cooperation extended by the public, including the significant number of female applicants."

Support for candidates is coming from various quarters. He said, "The Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) has arranged a crash course for candidates appearing for the written exam, and such support will greatly benefit the applicants."

The Army has conducted around 27 outreach programmes in Aizawl and nearby areas since registration began. Lt. Col. Bora noted, "There has been no major issue during the recruitment process."
