Mizoram: Govt trying to promote sports persons at national & international level, says Lalnghinglova Hmar
Aizawl: Mizoram sports minister Lalnghinglova Hmar said that the government gives priority to promotion and guiding young talented sports persons to achieve success in their career.
Addressing a closing function of a seminar training on Kukkiwon Advanced Taekwondo National Poomsae in Aizawl on Saturday, Hmar said that the government is making massive efforts to promote sports persons not only at the national level but also at international level.
He said that the government has been taking steps to nurture world-class athletes who will represent India and bring laurels for the country in the Olympic to be held in 2036.
Hmar also expressed sadness that the Mizo youths in general have no determination and usually give up mid-way.
He urged the youths to work hard and have perseveration in order to compete at the international level.
Organised by Taekwondo Federation of India the seminar training was hosted by Mizoram Amateur Taekwondo Association (MATA).
