Mizoram election officials receive training ahead of Lai Autonomous District Council polls

Guwahati: A specialised training programme for officials handling election materials was conducted in Mizoram on November 23 as preparations continue for the 12th General Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council.

The session, held at the DRDO Conference Hall, focused on familiarising Dispatch and Receiving Teams with procedures to ensure smooth conduct of the electoral process.

District Election Officer Donny Lalruatsanga, who oversaw the training, highlighted the importance of accuracy and efficiency in managing election operations.

He noted that Dispatch and Receiving Teams play a key role in the overall electoral process and urged participants to perform their duties diligently.

The training included operational protocols, prohibited practices, and mandatory guidelines for handling election materials.

Sessions were conducted by Master Trainer Gilbert Lalhlimpuia and Election Officer Collin Hlychho.

Lalruatsanga appreciated the officials for their participation, stating that proper preparation would enhance their ability to carry out responsibilities effectively during the upcoming council elections.
