Economic nationalism must for survival of Mizoram, says RS MP
AIZAWL: Mizoram lone Rajya Sabha member and Mizo National Front (MNF) leader K. Vanlalvena on Friday said that priority should be given to economic nationalism for the survival of Mizoram and the Mizo people.
Addressing a party meeting at MNF office in Aizawl, Vanlalvena said that no nation or a country can prosper without nationalism.
Although the Mizo people have political consciousness or political nationalism and they are united in one accord in times of crisis be in Assam, Manipur or Myanmar, they are yet to open their eyes towards economic nationalism, he said.
"We should give due importance to economic nationalism as well as religious nationalism," he said.
He said that every developed countries are well versed in economic nationalism.
The Mizoram MP said that Marwari, a highly successful business community, though they are rich have no state or Union Territory on their own because they have nationalism.
