Mizoram: Assam Rifles recovers heroin, ganja worth Rs 1.8 crore
Aizawl: A team of Assam Rifles along with state agencies recovered 476.40 grams of Marijuana and 258.7 grams of heroin both worth Rs 1.83 crore in two separate operations in south Mizoram.
The seizures were made in Siaha town on August 3 and August 5, Assam Rifles said in a statement.

Two persons have been arrested for possessing the contraband, it said.
The operations were carried out based on targeted intelligence gathering and continuous surveillance of suspected peddlers, the statement said.

The two accused and recovered consignment were handed over to the state police for further legal proceedings, the statement added.
