The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Referee Department informed the Meghalaya Football Association of her selection on December 31.

An experienced FIFA-level assistant referee, Dhar has officiated at numerous international competitions and is regarded as one of India’s most seasoned officials on the global stage.

In 2024, she became only the second Indian official to be appointed for a FIFA World Cup, serving at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic. That same year, she also officiated at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in Indonesia.

Dhar, who serves with the Meghalaya Police, was named Female Assistant Referee of the Year for the 2024–25 season by the AIFF in May 2025.

Her achievements were further celebrated locally in December, when she was among about 40 individuals honoured at a Meghalaya Football Association awards ceremony.

The event also marked the start of the association’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
