Meghalaya: "Thief" wanted since 2022 held in Shillong

Guwahati: A man accused of being involved in multiple thefts and burglaries across Shillong in Meghalaya was arrested on Friday.

Shanbor Wahlang, alias Moolchand, is a prime suspect in a string of theft and burglary cases across Shillong since 2022.

He was arrested by East Khasi Hills police based on specific inputs.

Wahlang is linked to four cases at Sadar Police Station, police sources said.

The police said that further investigations regarding the full extent of his involvement in these and other related crimes are being carried out.

Investigations to trace possible accomplices related to Wahlang is also being carried out, police said.
