Shillong: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has announced that major repair and restructuring work on the dilapidated National Highway 6 in East Jaiñtia Hills, Meghalaya will commence in September, once the rain subsides.

This assurance came after a joint inspection by local authorities, including MLA Santa Mary Shylla, Deputy Commissioner Shivansh Awasthi, and Superintendent of Police Giri Prasad, to assess the condition of the highway following a massive landslide in Kuliang.
