Raja Raghuvanshi, a transport businessman from Indore, went missing on May 23 last year while on his honeymoon in Meghalaya. His mutilated body was later discovered on June 2 near a waterfall in Sohra in East Khasi Hills district.

After the body was recovered, Sonam and several others, including her alleged boyfriend, were arrested in connection with the case.

Sonam, who had been in Shillong jail for several months, was granted bail after the fourth hearing. The development was also confirmed by the victim’s brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi.

With Kushwaha’s bail plea now dismissed, the case continues to see different legal outcomes for the accused, while the investigation and court proceedings are still ongoing.
