Meghalaya: BJP questions allocation of work to "controversial" company in Tura
Guwahati: Meghalaya BJP leader and MDC Bernard N Marak, has raised concerns regarding the allocation of work to ARSS Infrastructure Projects in Garo Hills terming it to be tainted.
He raised the concerns following a recent incident involving one of the company's dumper trucks injuring a young boy.

Marak has written to the Chief Minister seeking clarification on why ARSS, previously removed from the Shillong-Dawki road project due to poor performance and safety concerns, has been assigned work in a different region.

He stated that ARSS's history of accidents in Garo Hills, including the tragic loss of lives and injuries caused by their vehicles.
Marak labelled ARSS as a "tainted" company and called for immediate action, including punishment for those responsible for accidents and a temporary suspension of the company's operations, particularly their truck usage in Tura during daylight hours.
