Guwahati: The United Democratic Party (UDP) is confident of a successful performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, citing its past performance and deep roots in the Khasi and Jaintia Hills region in Meghalaya.

"Predicting the outcome is difficult this time due to the presence of many political parties, but we are in a good position," said UDP general secretary Jemino Mawthoh.
