Shillong: The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a significant delay in the recruitment process for several government positions due to the non-submission of rosters by the concerned departments.

The affected posts include various technical and administrative roles across multiple departments, such as Assistant Architect, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Urban Planner, Research Assistant, Statistical Assistant, Labor Inspector, and Training Officer.

The departments responsible for the delay include Urban Affairs, Fisheries, Public Health Engineering, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, and the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen.

According to MPSC officials, the recruitment process cannot proceed until the necessary rosters are provided, as these documents are crucial for determining the eligibility criteria and reservation quotas for different categories of candidates.

The delay has caused frustration among aspiring candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the results of the recruitment examinations.

Efforts are currently underway to expedite the roster submission process and ensure that the recruitment process can resume as soon as possible.
