Applications are invited for recruitment of various technical positions or jobs in NIT Meghalaya.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate-I for the project titled "Development and Testing of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Assisted Hybrid Double-Slope Desalination Solar Still for Off-grid Rural-North East India" under SERB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India (File No.: CRG/2021/007864) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Essential Qualification :

MTech/ME (or BTech) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Fluid/ Thermal Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent in Master’s degree (or, 75% marks or an equivalent in Bachelor’s degree).

Relaxation for SC/ST & PH will be considered as per Government of India norms.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

Preference will be given to candidates with working experience relevant to the project. Candidate should have in depth knowledge of heat/mass transfer and fluid mechanics.

Age limit :

Must not be over 28 years as on July 25^th, 2024 (relaxation as per the norms/orders of Government of India).

Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship:

Rs. 31,000/- per month for JRF (with GATE score) and Rs. 25,000/- per month for Project Associate-I (without GATE score) altogether.
