Applications are invited for recruitment of various medical positions or jobs in NEIGRIHMS Meghalaya.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Consultant for Center of Excellence for Climate Change.

Eligibility Criteria :

Essential: Medical Graduate (MBBS/Dental/PhD) with Master degree in / MPH / Community
Medicine / Public Health.

Desirable: Good Communication and Scientific writing skills with 1-2 years of working experience at State / National Level.

Upper Age Limit : 40 years

Job Roles :

  1. To develop National Action Plan (NAP) of Climate change related health issues in tribal population in Health Sector
  2. To develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to implementation of NAP at health care
    institutions and facilities (incl. climate zone specific implementation process and state- specific
    action points for health departments) and subject related public health advisory/ guidelines
    Guideline/advisory focused on health impacts of climate change on tribal population
  3. To support relevant States/UTs in development of relevant chapter/section in their State Action Plan
    on Climate Change and Human Health (SAPCCHH) and District in their District Action Plan on Climate Change and Human Health (DAPCCHH)
  4. To develop training module on Climate change related health issues in tribal population
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation of NPCCHH in States with field visit in a few of them and submission of report
  6. Synthesis of evidence of health impacts of climate change in tribal populations
  7. Scientific writing and documentation. All articles should carry mention of NPCCHH
  8. To draft best practice document, To prepare and publish a peer- reviewed article
  9. To develop IEC on impact of climate change related health issues in tribal population with focus on prevalent health impacts of climate change and vulnerable population groups

Selection Procedure :

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 5th November 2024 in the Department of Community Medicine, New Medical College Building (Director Block side) 4th Floor, Mawdiangdiang, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

Registration of Candidates is from 9 AM to 10:30 AM followed by interview at 10:40 AM
