Meghalaya Jobs : NEHU Recruitment 2024

Applications are invited for recruitment of various academic positions or jobs in NEHU Meghalaya.

North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Research Assistant for the Joint Collaborative Research Project under the ICSSR – SNSF Bilateral Programme entitled “Investigating Informal Entrepreneurship in Indian Slums with Satellite Data." The objectives of the University is to disseminate and advance knowledge. It gives learning with the help of instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit. The university pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-Eastern region. The institution also in particular gives importance to their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement. The North-Eastern Hill University Act (24 of 1973) which got the passage of both Houses of Parliament also found the assent of the President of India on May 26th, 1973. It saw publishing in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on May 26th, 1973 together with the First Schedule of the Act incorporating the Statutes of the University. At present there are fifty-three undergraduate colleges under affiliation of the University. The University Central Library has a collection of close to 2,00,000 books, 38,000 bound periodicals. It subscribes to 316 foreign and 366 Indian current journals. NEHU also became a reputed institution. It saw serious academic and social and cultural agenda and a clear vision for its future growth. The undergraduate colleges under affiliation of the University also enrolls about 18,000 students. The faculty strength of the institute is altogether over 100.

Qualification :

Candidates must have Post-graduate in Economics (55% minimum)

They must also pass NET /M.Phil. / Ph.D.
