Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or jobs in National Law University Meghalaya.

National Law University Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of field researchers or Project Interns for the research project titled "Domestic
Violence in a Matrilineal Context: Investigating the Experiences of Tribal Women in Meghalaya" conducted by National Law University Meghalaya (NLU Meg) and WBNUJS, Kolkata.

Stipend: Subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate, interns will be entitled to an amount of Rs.50 per data point.

Food Bill up to Rs. 150/- (max.) per day per head to be given/reimbursed

Travel allowances to be given/reimbursed depending upon approval of the Bills submitted.

Eligibility Criteria :

Students with strong interest in the study of domestic violence and gender issues having either a Masters in Law or Social Sciences from any University/College of repute.

Job Roles :

1. Assist in collecting data through surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions with various stakeholders, including police officers, protection officers, victims, witnesses, judges, public prosecutors, one stop centers, State Women Commission, Rangbah Shnongs and Dorbar Shnongs.
2. Conduct fieldwork in the four districts altogether (East Khasi Hills, Jantia Hills, Ri-Bhoi and West Khasi Hills) across the state of Meghalaya.
3. Collaborate with the project team to organize and also analyze the collected data.
4. Prepare project-related documentation, sanction orders, tour diaries, reports, and also presentations.
