Meghalaya: Four non-tribal men found dead in EJH

Guwahati: Four unidentified men were discovered dead on Saturday in a remote area of Umpleng village, East Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya.

The bodies were found by labourers in the morning.

The location where the bodies were found falls under the jurisdiction of the Umpleng Anti-Dacoity Camp.

A Crime Scene Unit (CSU) from Shillong was called in to investigate the crime scene.

After the initial investigation, the bodies will be transported to Jowai Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

A police official stated that the victims were non-tribal but did not reveal any further details regarding the cause of death or their identities.

An investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the murders and identify the deceased.
